Funeral Service for Kenny Wayne Bagwell, age 61 of Hanceville, will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Rodney Turner, Sadie Abbott and Shirley Ryan officiating; burial at Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bagwell passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his residence. He was born, December 23, 1963, to Wallace Bagwell and Alice Crane Bagwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica Steele; brother, Chris Bagwell and sister, Connie Phillips. Survivors include his wife. Janet Bagwell; son, Kevin (Tabitha) Bagwell; daughter, Jerica Bagwell; sister, Teresa (Herb) Mayo; grandchildren, Sydni and Linley Bagwell, Kentley White, Sadie Abbott; great grandchild, Laken Wright; sister-in-law, Jennie Bagwell; brother-in-law, Jimmu (Mousie) Steele and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pallbearers: Jon Phillips, Corey Phillips, Luke Bagwell, Paydon Bagwell, Landon Bagwell, Preston Bagwell and Jager Burns. SACRIFICE. The story I have to tell started on December 23, 1963, the day Kenny Bagwell was born. By the age of 14 he had to work full-time in order to raise his brother and sisters. He worked some of this hardest and hottest jobs around and he never once complained about having to drop out of school and give up a "normal" childhood to care for his family. Soon after, he married my mom, and they had two daughters with disabilities (even then he didn't complain). Together they raised my sisters and me to the best of their abilities. We lost my sister, Jessica, a few years ago but they continued to take the best care of Jerica they could. Not only did he take care of his immediate family but also extended family as well. He loved helping his family and anyone else for that matter. He was the "Rip" of our family coming in to resolve the problem. Everyone knew they could trust and know he would do what he said. He was a giver at heart, providing cars, horses, go-karts and many other items to anyone that needed it. My dad was my biggest supporter. I never had to worry about any new endeavors succeeding, I know he would be there to help in any way he could.
