June Cupp Allred Cox Funeral services for June Cupp Allred Cox, 91, of Cullman will be on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, Bro. Ralph Andrews officiating, with interment in Good Hope Cemetery. Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cox, a life-long resident of Good Hope, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. June was born on June 14, 1924, the third daughter of Ernest Roy and Lillian Weathers Cupp. June worked many years in the family plant business, pulling potato slips and digging strawberry plants. In 1962, she opened Jack’s Restaurant in Good Hope where for the next thirty years she touched the lives of many, many people not only from Cullman but from all over the country. June was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Anna Lou Cupp; brothers, Roy and Bryan Cupp; sisters, Hope Lindsey, Irene Byrd, and Lana Edwards; and son, Ronnie Allred. She is survived by her husband, James W. Cox; brothers, Dennis and Chris Cupp; sister, Brenda Akeridge; son, Larry Allred; daughters, Jacquelyn Henderson, Debbie (John) Bartlett, Shelia (Jack) Payne and Cherryl Hubbard; grandchildren, Brandon Henderson, Sara (Les) Barnett, Kristin Allred, Nathan (Angie) Allred, Jessica (Julie) Allred, Justin Allred, Kaylin Allred, Erin Bartlett, Ellen Bartlett, Anna Bartlett, Courtney (Judd) Shaw and Angela (French) Wood; great-grandchildren, Andrue and Jackson Barnett, Eli and Carson Posman, Isabella and Gabriel Allred, Cade Albrecht, Isaiah Allred, Cayleigh and Conner Shaw, and Anna Reese and Allie Mae Wood. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all the caregivers who cared for “Miss June” for the last two years and helped bring her home to Jesus. She loved each one of you so very much. June was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, was saved at 16 and baptized in Ryan Creek. Pall Bearers: Larry Allred, Brandon Henderson, Justin Allred, and nephews, Mike Cupp, Steve Cupp and Billy Byrd. Visitation will be at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8. Donations may be made in her memory to Southern Care Hospice or Good Hope Baptist Church.
