Funeral Service for Charles Sanford Bailey, age 89, of Cullman, will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Fairview Methodist Church with Brother Darryl Bailey officiating; interment in Etha Baptist Cemetery. He will lie-in-state from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bailey passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Cullman Regional. He was born June 23, 1932, in Cullman, Alabama, to W.O. Bailey Jr. and Josie Johnson Bailey. He knew everybody and always had a corny joke to share. He cut the hair of almost everybody in Cullman, loved growing a garden and sharing his produce, and lived to fish. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Mae Bailey; granddaughter, Hanniel Richards; parents, W.O. Bailey, Jr. and Josie Johnson Bailey; brothers, Grady Bailey, Jady Bailey, Tip Bailey, Claud Bailey, Duel Bailey, Euel Bailey, and Carlton Bailey; sisters, Lily Keaton, Eunice Butler, Edna Johns, and Wiladean Bailey; and son-in-law, Joseph Richards. Survivors include his children, Denise (Larry) Anderson, Camellia Richards, Josie Stanford, Darryl (Teresa) Bailey, Sherri (Robert) Barber, Clint Bailey (Chad Childers), and Celia Bladow; grandchildren, Eric (Beth) Bailey, Joe (Ashley) Anderson, Jami (Scott) Lester, Stacy Bailey, Michael (Cija) Richards, Deborah (Raymond) Shumway, Isaac Stanford, Christina Bailey (Michele Faulkner), Morgan Arrington, Aaron (Rebecca) Smith, Ryan (Kayla) Smith, Shannon Stewart (Kyle Clem), Kenny (Amanda) Barber, Keith (Mandy) Barber, Shawn Bladow, Dustin Bladow (Kellie Owens), and Sidney (Brandon) Evans; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Anderson, Kaleigh Anderson, Caitlyn Lester, Parker Lester, Ryan Lester, Taylor Lester, Cadence Clifton, Cailyn Manus, Gabriel Smith, Bear Richards, Gareth Richards, Trena Shumway, Eli Shumway, Hayden Arrington, Harrison Arrington, Noraa Smith, Oliver Smith, Carter Smith, Kaitlynn Stewart, Jaycee Woodall, Madelyn Clem, and Brecken Bladow; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
